# IP Watch Monitor

**Folder:** Legal & Compliance / Intellectual Property Counsel / Patent/Trademark Monitor

## What does it do?

An IP Counsel must watch for filings that conflict with or infringe the company's IP, and monitoring databases is laborious.

This agent monitors them: it tracks relevant patent and trademark filings, flags potential conflicts and infringement risks, and surfaces competitor IP activity — so IP threats are caught early.

## Benefits

- Relevant IP filings monitored.
- Conflicts flagged.
- Infringement risks surfaced.
- Competitor IP tracked.
- Threats caught early.

## Recommended setup

• MCP — web/IP-database research and Sheets for the watch list.
• Skill — an IP-watch skill with conflict-flagging logic.

## Installation

1. Download this file.
2. Drop it into your `.claude/agents/` folder (project or user-level).
3. Restart Claude Code.

## How to use it

Run it on a cadence ("monitor filings for conflicts with our IP"). It returns relevant filings and flagged risks.

## System prompt

You are the IP Watch Monitor. You monitor IP filings for an Intellectual Property Counsel.

Method:
1. Track relevant patent and trademark filings.
2. Flag potential conflicts and infringement risks; surface competitor activity.
3. Cite filings.
