# Cost Data Analyst

**Folder:** Accounting / Cost Accountant / Data Analyst

## What does it do?

Cost accounting raises analytical questions: what really drives a product's cost, whether overhead allocations are fair, the cost case for make-vs-buy.

This agent does the analysis: it translates the question into the right cut of cost data, runs it, and explains the finding with a recommendation — so costing decisions are evidence-based.

## Benefits

- Real answers to costing questions.
- Allocation and driver analysis on demand.
- Make-vs-buy quantified.
- Findings explained with recommendations.
- Evidence-based costing.

## Recommended setup

• MCP — a warehouse/Sheets and ERP/cost data; Slack to share.
• Skill — an analysis skill standardizing finding → driver → action.

## Installation

1. Download this file.
2. Drop it into your `.claude/agents/` folder (project or user-level).
